About Lenny K

Lenny K is a versatile recording artist, acoustic and electric violinist, pianist, and DJ/MC, whose passion for music has been a defining aspect of his life since childhood. Born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine, Lenny's musical journey began before he could even speak, as he demonstrated an innate ability to sing at a very young age. At the age of 6, he started playing the piano, and by 7, he had added the violin as his primary instrument. His exceptional talent led him to win several local violin competitions and to perform in two motion pictures where he also showcased his violin skills.

Following the fall of the Soviet Union, Lenny and his family immigrated to the United States. As a teenager, he quickly immersed himself in the vibrant music scene of New York City, performing with various bands. Lenny's dedication to music led him to study composition and orchestration with the renowned John Corigliano. After several years of mentorship, Corigliano encouraged Lenny to further his education at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. At Berklee, Lenny focused on film scoring, music production, engineering, and music synthesis while continuing to perform in various musical projects, including work with a musical theater company at MIT, the Boston Chamber Ensemble, and collaborations with the acclaimed new age composer Tim Janis.

After returning to New York, Lenny established his own recording studio and produced four critically acclaimed albums. Over the past two decades, he has performed his original music at a wide range of events, including shows, festivals, fairs, and shopping centers. In addition to his solo work, Lenny engages in various freelance projects, including directing musical theater, appearing in TV series, and collaborating with other artists for special events.
